Super Bowl Champion Darrell Reid Hosts Charity Event

Bowl with the Pros Recap: Super Bowl Champion Darrell Reid Hosts Charity Event - We Are Jersey

This past week, Super Bowl Champion Darrell Reid hosted a charity event called Bowl with the Pros. The goal of this event was to raise money for Sportz Farm, which is a nonprofit organization that helps young athletes emphasize the equal balance between athletics and academics. This was a great opportunity for people in the community to come out and support a good cause, as well as meet some of their favorite sports stars!

On the mic at Bowlero in North Brunswick, Hot 97's DJ Drewski called out the NFL veterans who were present. Jonathan Casillas , Manny Collins , and Teko Hammary were bowling with fans and having a good time during the games while eating delicious cuisine and drinking refreshing beverages. We Are Jersey Magazine was there to document the event and highlight the best moments sponsored by New York Life and North East Financial Network.

Darrell Reid shared his satisfaction with the fun-filled evening.

"Sportz Farm is an amazing organization that has been giving back to New Jersey youth for over 10 years and has touched countless lives over that time. I've always found it my duty to use my platform to reach the youth and partnering with Sportz Farm is another great way for me to do that. Huge thank you to everyone that came out to show their support including WAJ Magazine!"

Sportz Farm is a New Jersey-based 501(c)(3) non-profit that seeks to overcome the gap between student athletes' athletic ability and their transfer past high school. Sportz Farm offers athletic, weight, speed, and agility training and teaches students about social responsibility through community service requirements; good character development, and a strong mindset. Student-athletes are also expected to volunteer their time to local causes in order to assist them develop character as well as contribute to their communities. Sportz Farm is distinguished from other programs by combining athletics, academic support, and mentoring.
