LAB X Marks a Successful Soft Opening & Influencer Night in Carteret, Blending Indian-Mediterranean Fusion with Experiential Dining


Carteret, NJ – LAB X, the newest addition to the Xperience Hospitality Group, officially introduced its Indian-Mediterranean fusion concept during an exclusive Influencer Night and Soft Opening this past weekend. The highly anticipated event welcomed an elite guest list of tastemakers, media personalities, and culinary enthusiasts who experienced the brand’s distinctive approach to fine dining — one that fuses global flavor, creative presentation, and immersive ambiance.


The evening drew special guests including 2× Super Bowl Champion Jonathan Casillas, award-winning violinist Mapy, Hot 97’s Tai Marie, SiriusXM media personalities Mrz. GetAtEm and Da Inphamus Amadeuz, radio host Frederick Salomon, and notable foodie influencers such as SirGoodEats and TheFoodBlogByDuke, among many others.

Guests were treated to a curated tasting menu crafted by Executive Chef Angel and Chef Rohit, featuring a dynamic selection of Indian-Mediterranean fusion dishes. Appetizers included Samosa Chaat, Coriander Chicken, and Firecracker Shrimp, followed by indulgent entrées such as the fan-favorite Thai Lobster Curry, Paneer Steak, and Goat Biryani. That’s just to name a few. Dessert concluded with a modern twist on tradition — Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice Cream and Baklava.


The evening’s drink program was designed by Avianna, LAB X’s bar manager and founder of Liquid Lovee, who introduced a cocktail menu as visually striking as it was flavorful. Guests sipped signature creations that complemented the menu’s spice-forward notes while reinforcing LAB X’s experimental energy.


Entertainment was curated by DJ Papi XP (Chris Morales) — who also serves as the District Manager of Xperience Hospitality Group — setting the tone with a blend of global beats and contemporary lounge sounds that elevated the night’s atmosphere. Guests also enjoyed premium hookah service, adding another sensory layer to the experience. Not to mention, the only open tandoor kitchen around.


“LAB X was built to push boundaries,” said Chef Angel. “We wanted to create a space that feels alive — where each bite, each drink, and each moment tells a story.”
