The Trinidadian talent rings in the new year with Machel Montano and Destra Garcia on their catchy collab “Shake The PlaceRemix. Mrs petty has been out of the spotlight since last year, but she's back with a brand new banger as her debut drop of 2023.

In fact, the sizzling soca single serves as one of the Road March 2023 contenders. Additionally, the raved release and reunion of the two of soca's leading voices comes 20 years after their mega-hit "Is Carnival".

On Friday, Nicki took to Instagram to share the surprise single with Machel Montano and Destra. She joins the Trinidadian stars on a never-knew-we-needed remix of their single “Shake the Place”. Making major mainstream waves, Minaj kicks off the record with an intro alongside a verse and ad libs in the remix. The latest offering comes mere days before the top song of the road is declared for 2023, so with that being said it’s clear the competition has been blown out of the water.

Although the “Queen” spitter is on a self-proclaimed hiatus, we got the 2022 “Tukoh Taka” World Cup Anthem after appearing on NBA YoungBoy’s Ma’ I Got A Family project. Now, she's released a remix of Machel Montano and Destra's “Shake The Place,” which she says she wanted to do in celebration of carnival season. In doing so, she positioned the drop perfectly for the fitting forthcoming occasion. Tapping into her Trinadadian ancestry, Onika has been awaken and ready to return to the top of the charts across all genres! Recently, Nicki ranked No. 10 on Billboard’s Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time.
