The 2023 Songwriter's Hall Of Fame Inductees Have Been Announced!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for…

The Songwriters Hall of Fame's 2023 class inductees include not only some of music's most influential names, but also one of the most diverse groups of inductees yet. In fact, the inspiring inductees are some of the most influential musicians of the last few decades. With that being said, Among the talented individuals previously honored in the hall, Sade, Teddy Riley, and Snoop Dogg were announced as the incoming inductees.

Continuously monumentally moving the masses, Snoop Dogg serves as the third rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame as he leads the 2023 class. Snoop's induction comes after Missy Elliott and JAY-Z. This achievement will be added to the long list of accomplishments of the above-mentioned big names who will join the hallowed halls of the Songwriter's Hall of Fame (SHOF).

As a result, Sade is being recognized for her work including sizzling songs such as: “Smooth Operator,” “No Ordinary Love,” “The Sweetest Taboo,” “By Your Side,” and “Is It A Crime”. While Snoop's recognition comes via the tracks “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Nuthin’ But A “G” Thang,” “Young, Wild & Free,” “Gin & Juice,” and “The Next Episode”. As for Teddy's recognition, his comes from his work with his groups, Guy (“I Like”) and Blackstreet. As well as his work with Bobby Brown (“My Prerogative”), Keith Sweat (“Make It Last Forever,” “I Want Her”), and Johnny Kemp (“Just Got Paid”) to name a few.

This year's honorees were chosen by eligible voting members of the organization from a pool of 12 performing songwriters or song-writing teams and 12 non-performing writers or teams. They will be inducted at the SHOF's 54th annual Induction & Awards gala on June 15 in New York. Following the exciting announcement, SHOF Chair Nile Rodgers goes on to say:

“The music industry does not exist without songwriters delivering great songs first. Without them there is no recorded music, no concert business, no merch . . . nothing, it all starts with the song and the songwriter… that the 2023 class represents not just iconic songs but also diversity and unity across genre, ethnicity and gender, songwriters who've enriched our lives and, in their time, literally transformed music and the lives of billions of listeners all over the world”.

Furthermore, if interested in attending the astounding award show, tickets for the Songwriters Hall of Fame event start at $2,000.
