Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson is one of the most respected NBA Insiders in the business. He has been working in sports media with over 20 years under his belt and has covered everything from the NBA to college football. The New Jersey native joined Bally Sports Network as a TV Analyst, where he provides expert commentary on all things basketball.

Robinson has sat down with legendary athletes, coaches, and entertainers on Bally Sports Network including NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton, Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy, NBA champs Metta World Peace, and Kendrick Perkins, just to name a few. Not only has he conquered basketball media but he's also the host of "Scoop B Radio" where he dabbles in the music industry with iconic Hip Hop talents such as Memphis Bleek, DJ Khaled, DJ Clue, and much more.

In the meantime and in-between time prepping for the season, he also started his non-profit organization titled "Scoop B Village" in 2021. The [Scoop B] Village is a 501(c)3 mentorship organization that provides kids with access to educational programming outside of the traditional classroom setting. The organization's goal is to encourage young people to develop healthy relationships with their education and also learn invaluable skills in media.

“The Scoop B Village is a tribute to those who uplifted me and kept me grounded while growing up in both NJ and NYC and during my college years in the Philadelphia area. It embodies my philosophy that the higher the elevator goes up, it is surely my responsibility to send it back down," said Robinson.

Walking down memory lane, he shares a short story of how he was a freelancer while also teaching college classes to make ends meet. At the time, he was staying with his grandmother in her basement where rent was still always due every first of the month, family or not. With no stove and cooking out of crockpots, toaster ovens, and microwaves, he made it a point to obtain better for himself. As he continued to reminisce about the "good old times," he spits free game to anybody building a brand from scratch and heavily emphasized the importance of networking and embracing who you are and what you stand for.

When asked what he wants his legacy to be, his answer was the most humble for a public figure of his caliber. He makes it a point to be intentional and to leave behind the story that he was a man who followed his dreams and lived life in a way that would not only set up his future for success but generations after him as well. The walking legend closes out the podcast interview with a simple yet powerful quote.

"Don't take 'no' from anybody who is not qualified to tell you 'yes.'"
